HIGHLIGHT CLIPS EDITED TOGETHER FROM THE FOUR ARTIST'S POETRY VIDEOS
Unique B2B Video Campaign:
Expressive Slam Poetry Contest

Media Vision's mission is to enhance global audio communication. As a B2B leader, they sought an innovative marketing approach to highlight the importance of audio clarity.
The goal was to engage the community through expressive poetry and supporting local artists while emphasizing value of professional audio solutions.

Headshot photography

Four spoken word artists were scouted from New York’s iconic Nuyorican Poets Cafe.

Each individual was compensated for their time and provided with complimentary professional headshots on set.
The artists were encouraged to share the videos and gather votes for the chance to win a $500 prize.
Challenge:
The participants had to schedule different times for their filming sessions, and renting a video production studio space with setup/teardown each time was not in the budget.
To solve for this, I created the set in my own living room, where I could leave it intact for the 3 weeks it took to get everyone scheduled and filmed. My roommate and dog both got used to it.

Results:
The campaign drove engagement up by over 47% and received accolades within the AV and conferencing industry, further establishing Media Vision’s commitment to both innovation and community engagement.

A Law Firm's Pro Bono Triumph

Debevoise created The Holloway Project to fight for criminal justice reform and to combat racial inequality. To date, they have secured sentence reductions totaling more than 1,100 years for over 30 incarcerated men.

To showcase their award-winning pro bono project, we created a micro documentary video that highlights two of their clients and the two leading lawyers.

Planning & Pre-Production
To understand the case's complex laws, I studied and read through dozens of court documents, transcripts and news articles.
I then created a minimalist storyboard outline that highlighted key legal processes and included quotes from participants for accuracy and emotional impact.
This outline enabled stakeholder input, identified moments for b-roll and motion graphics, and provided a solid editing foundation.

Filming & Editing
Produced during the COVID lockdown, we filmed each person separately.
I implemented quality-enhancing adjustments in planning, direction, and post-production to create an engaging story within the constraints.
Prior to recording, we consulted each participant about optimal home locations for neutral backgrounds and good lighting. We also allocated extra time for interviews, allowing for improvisation and flexibility in editing.

Publishing & Analytics
After approval, the final video was published on the client’s website, YouTube, and a short clip featuring Kevin was published on LinkedIn.
A condensed version was also created for the NLADA Beacon of Justice Award ceremony.
For YouTube, I set up their channel as a business brand and conducted SEO research, which helped the video rank on Google’s first page for “The Holloway Project.” I monitored analytics to provide insights on the video's performance for future uploads.

Experimental Art Videos

When I'm not creating for clients, you can find me dabbling as a YouTuber hobbyist, artist, and calligrapher. Sometimes my videos are about the creative process, and sometimes I experiment with effects and quirky animations of the little creatures I find in the abstract paintings.
